If the Flyers can sign a 3C (or find one within the organization, as there are many options) and the young defense core take a step forward next year, we should have a quality team. It will all depend on goaltending https://t.co/HBt7TvvTjJ
JvR is a good add. But I won't consider this a successful free agency period for the Flyers until I know for an absolute fact that Filppula will not be returning as third-line center. You've now got two strong lines; need to make sure Line 3 is at least passable.
CALL TO THE HALL: Martin Brodeur, Martin St-Louis, Jayna Hefford, Alexander Yakushev, Willie O'Ree and Gary Bettman voted for induction into the @HockeyHallFame. https://t.co/wAbnbejsbn #TSNHockey
Got a lot of questions about Carter Hart the last couple days, so here’s a deeper look at why he may or may not make the NHL as soon as next season: https://t.co/FtLwKXfBl6 #Flyers
@ExpiredmilkYT Farabee will probably go too high for the Flyers to have a chance at him, but both would be great options at wing. If Farabee is still available, he would be my top option at wing
With two first round picks in this upcoming draft, I would look to select one defense and one winger. It is clear that we still need tons of help on defense and although there are kids coming we should continue to stock those cupboards
And let’s all remember that for every weakness this team has, there is a solution in our prospect pipeline. Hart and Sandstrom, for Goalie, the growth of our young dmen, and an abundance of talented forwards, it’s been rough for a while, but just know it will get way better soon
Some positives to take away from a rough series so far: 1. Provorov can be a Norris caliber dman in just a few years. 2. Nolan Patrick has the ability to be a number one centre in this league without question
