It’s bringing together our community and hospital colleagues with partner organisations to identify and develop new opportunities for care closer to home 🏡
We've hosted our second Harvey's Lab Tour, welcoming James to see behind-the-scenes in Royal Bolton Hospital's labs.
James' mum, Rebecca, said: “Myself and James thoroughly enjoyed the tour! James’ favourite part was making potions and sending pods in the pod system."

The work of our Pathology teams mean we can provide robust guarantees, improving the quality of care and ensure patients receive the correct treatment ASAP.
In the first three months after launching in March, we conducted 7,604 HIV tests, 7,621 Hepatitis B tests and 7,591 Hepatitis C tests, significantly increasing the number of tests being carried out.

This year they've helped to diagnose dozens of people living with HIV and Hepatitis through our Emergency Department testing programme for blood borne viruses.
Earlier this year, Royal Bolton Hospital has become the first location in Greater Manchester to carry out digital autopsies that reduce the need for invasive post mortems and release bodies to families and loved ones sooner.
