The Irish President claims that the Irish people are among the best informed about the Middle East.

Here are some of the things I did not know, before I went looking into the history:

1. Israel is smaller than the Irish province of Munster.

2. Palestinians have been given multiple offers of Statehood, but they rejected them all.

3. Gaza has not been occupied by Israel since 2005 - the opposite of land grabbing

4. The Hamas Charter calls for the genocide of Jews and the obliteration of Israel - Truth

5. Children are groomed for martyrdom. Indoctrinated in hate from infancy

6. 1882 - Land purchased by global community for Russian Jews fleeing pogroms (not stolen)

7. 1921 - 80% of Palestine was given to the Arabs. It is modern day Jordan.

8. Before 1948 - the Jews were the Palestinians. 1964 - the Arabs start to identify as Palestinians.

9. 1948 - 850,000 Mizrahi Jews were expelled from Muslim countries

10. 1948 - Of the Arab population 160,000 chose to stay & became full Israeli Citizens with equal rights

11. "Pay for Slay" - salaries are paid by the PA to families of those who kill Jews.

12. Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Minorities can thrive and live peacefully

13. Gaza is ½ the size of Co. Louth.

14. There are less than 20 million Jews in the world.

Think about it, Are we (the Irish) the most informed? or Are we the most mis-informed?
