All Hokies need to read Roc's response.

"in the 154 year history of Virginia Tech, dating to its founding in 1872, no Governor of the Commonwealth has ever removed a member of the Board of Visitors for cause."

True words

[Adam Rossi @rossiadam]

I am not moving my family and businesses from Virginia.

But something sinister just happened here and I need to take action.

I have lived here since I was 6 years old. I have done my share to help build this state up. I have owned a business here since I was 24 years old. I have employed thousands of Virginians. I have invested millions in plant and equipment. I have coached sports, been a leader in scouts, run internship programs, and participated in local philanthropy.

I am a political independent. I am for whomever gives me less government.

I didn’t get that in the last election.

The Virginia Democratic Party has come into power with proposals that seem to be almost comically evil.

Massive, business-killing tax hikes.

Dramatic increase in regulatory scope.

Socialist policies around things like rent control, entitlement spending exploding.

Sweeping limits on law enforcement and a reduction in crime consequences that make us less safe.

We have went from a Top-5 business friendly state to a place where many of the people in my business community are discussing relocating their business out of the state.

I watched this happen in Maryland. I can’t let it happen here.

I hate politics. Hate it.

I don’t want to run for political office. I have never given money to a state politician. I don’t try to influence policy.

I try not to talk about politics too much on X. It’s a boring argument.

I also think arguments about R vs D are boring.

I have known plenty of moderate Democrats in Virginia that I felt were good public servants.

However, the Democrat majority that was recently sworn in is like nothing we have ever seen here. These people are not centrists, and they represent a fringe view that is far to the left of the majority of Virginians.

I am now compelled to get much more involved with the political process here in Virginia.

We have to grab the wheel before we drive off the cliff.

Who should I talk to about becoming more involved in organizing opposition to the current proposals?

Who can I support to challenge them in court?

Who should I talk to about supporting candidates for future elections that will bring us back to the policies that have made Virginia so prosperous in the past?

Looking for specific people I should link up with. That could be Republicans or Democrats or Independents. I know there are many other Virginians from across the political spectrum that feel the way I do.

Virginia is worth fighting for.

[Jonathan Turley @JonathanTurley]

Virginia Democrats have moved quickly to fulfill the worst stereotype of a tax-hungry, economy-crushing party. The Democrats introduced an array of new taxes on every aspect of life as well as rent control legislation... https://t.co/uTOPV69sds

@Snide_Remarks RIP Rick. Peace

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkPacker @accnetwork Reload - Rest - Load the Wagon. Do the next thing. We will be there waiting. Onward

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkPacker Sad & great news! You are simply the best and the last of the true ACC icons. U r leaving at the right time as the ACC as we knew it is gone. Thx 4 covering VT w/respect. Sorry again for my tiff after the "famous" 0-0 WakeVT tie game. I deserved my temp exhile. Cheers Sir! ONWARD

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkPacker This movement is already underway at both ends of Pennsylvania Ave. P4 school presidents will have to bargain with Senators from non P4 states for final deal. But the key is P4 ready to deal.

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkPacker It’s awful and has reached tipping point. Only Congress and POTUS can fix this now. P4 Commishes went on TV tour last week 2 ask for fed intervention. Feds should tie funds for reforms; rev share, NIL & contracts/player movement. Will preempt race to bottom by players/states

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@AndyBitterVT Congress needs to act ASAP 2 force Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Player Contracts 2 restrict movement/ensure post season play + Revenue Sharing w/salary caps + NIL transparency administered thru school. Baseline reforms or NO federal funding for schools as the 🔨

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkIAnderson @MrAnderson92 @smayranderson With the exception of PSU, the best 4 teams are left. Byes don't matter - that's lame excuse. Top 5 teams are 1) OSU, 2) Texas 3) ND 4) UGA 5) PSU. Indiana should not have been in CFP. Should have been Ole Miss. Conference Champs should not get the auto bye.

[Philmore Anderson @PhilmoreB]

@MarkPacker @Davnpt99 The answer is a Podcast....The Joe Rogan of sports and sports food and liquor. The 'Garden and Gun' ( and Football) Sports Pod - That's then vibe...
