The Philadelphia 76ers are promoting assistant general manager Jameer Nelson to the team's Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations under new President Mike Gansey, making the Philly native and former NBA All-Star the No. 2 executive for the franchise, sources tell ESPN. 76ers assistant GM Prosper Karangwa has also agreed to a multiyear contract extension.
Yikes: New Patriots wide receiver AJ Brown admitted to leaking stories about the Eagles to the media to "motivate" the team.
"It was done purposely to give us a push. It gives everything legs to push everyone to be better. I feel like it was okay to do."

Cristopher Sánchez's scoreless streak ends at 50 2/3 innings and what followed has to be the longest ovation ever for a Phillies pitcher who just allowed a run. More than a minute long.
A long standing ovation for Cristopher Sanchez as his consecutive scoreless innings streak comes to an end at 50.2
Third longest in baseball since 1920 🔥🔥🔥
Phillies ace Cristopher Sanchez becomes only the 5th pitcher in MLB history to pitch 50 consecutive shutout innings. He is at 50.2 innings, 8.1 innings shy of Orel Hershiser’s all-time record.

My overall view on the deal...
- A.J. Brown wanted to play elsewhere and it was going to be untenable to keep him. At that point, it was finding the right deal.
- They were able to land a 1st-rd pick, which was key for them. I'm not one who views the '28 pick as a downgrade if they planned for the '26 season accordingly. The long view has served them well in previous trades, and with the Patriots in particular, the unknown of '28 could be advantageous.
- A '26 pick would have been appealing to help this year's roster, but the Eagles wanted the post-June 1 date for cap purposes. That's the tradeoff they needed to make.
- There's no spinning the team being better off this season because of this deal. They're worse tomorrow than they were yesterday. A.J. Brown is an elite player. But they also had a long runway to plan, and they've made enough moves for an intriguing passing game if the Hurts-Mannion partnership is fruitful.
- I can't imagine there were celebrations in the building today. Howie Roseman moved mountains to try to land a player like Brown. He's popular in the locker room and well-regarded in the organization. They signed him to a new deal hoping he'd finish his career here. For it to end this way is not ideal, but it's the business.
- I'd imagine it's natural to have some bitterness when somebody wants out, but Eagles fans should look fondly at Brown and the past 4 years. It was the best 4-year run by an Eagles WR ever. He made two Super Bowls (caught TDs in both), rewrote the record books. And isn't part of the joy of being a sports fan witnessing greatness? That's what Brown offered.
It’s a *Toy* Story 🤠
You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @Pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?
You can pre-order now exclusively at https://t.co/NoneI6kxdH and catch Toy Story 5 in theaters June 19th ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️

At last: The #Eagles are trading star WR AJ Brown to the #Patriots, per The Insiders.
It’s a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick going to Philly, as Brown reunites with coach Mike Vrabel. One of the NFL’s longest runnings sagas ends with a splash.
