An apology from Tonda Eckert but with it more excuses. And no mention of pressuring junior staff.
Remarkably, Eckert set to keep his job. Even by Southampton standards of last few weeks, Dragan Solak's interviews are staggering.

If this was my head coach, I’d have wanted him sacked weeks ago.
Wouldn’t want my football club associated with these people any longer.
Southampton Football Club wouldn’t know class, decorum, and footballing integrity if it smacked them clean across the jaw.
Incredible.
Couple of very obvious holes in Southampton and Eckert's latest feeble claims:
• If Eckert didn't know he was breaking rules, why the rush to cover up after being rumbled at #Boro?
• & if he's so adamant no sporting advantage was gained, why did he keep sanctioning the spying?

Southampton's latest statement complaining about the 'apparent historic and indirect connections of two panel members to #Boro'
Clearly ridiculous, but for record, my understanding is Southampton had opportunity to reject choice of panel members before hearing started...
The slow motion PR car crash goes on as a cheating club still refuse to own their deliberate, cynical cheating and continue to frame themselves as the victims. Absolute moral quagmire.
Yet another 'we take responsibility, but...' statement from Southampton.
Dear me. Sometimes, it's better to just acknowledge your mistakes, apologise and move on. Not at Southampton, it appears...

The Goonies (1985) is the definition of adventure on film. Every scene feels like summer break come to life. It captures the feeling of being a kid chasing something bigger than yourself.
Gilda Radner with her husband, Gene Wilder, shortly before her death from ovarian cancer in 1989.
She was only 42.
In her memoir, It’s Always Something, Gilda wrote about the brutal reality of cancer treatment — months of chemotherapy, radiation, fear, pain, and still somehow, hope.
She and Gene had dreamed of having a child together. They conceived, but as her cancer was beginning, they lost the baby.
It makes this photo even more heartbreaking.
Gene wasn’t just her husband.
He was her safe place.
Her partner.
Her protector.
Her soulmate.
Gilda spent her life making people laugh, even when her own life became unimaginably hard.
And Gene carried her love forward after she was gone.
Some love stories are beautiful because they last forever.
Others are beautiful because they mattered so deeply while they were here.
In the aftermath, #Boro fans deserve a massive shout out. Sold out in record time, incredibly loud in the ground and a friendly bunch who were graceful in defeat. Hopefully we see you progress next season (though not trading places) as we need more northern teams up there. #hcafc
I don’t see a thing wrong with this and he certainly didn’t lose it. He reads as someone who has been playing this game for decades and knows how things can spiral. He’s establishing boundaries, the crowd listened, and he obliged. Zero drama.
