There's been a housing crisis and you guys never once rioted. Never vandalised nothing. Not once. Cause you not about that life. But now because its some foreign people you want to pretend like you're French???
@elisjames have you heard Los Blancos? Right up your street musically and linguistically I'd say. Saw them in Cardigan at Other Voices (a) over the weekend.
@KermodeMovie@ObsNewReview I believe I mentioned this in an email to you in a past life when Kevin Godley said hello. Peter was in the Sonic Catering Band in Reading in the 90s, that literally was their set up. Stefan Dennis did a voice intro for their album too.
@MikeBubbins finally got to see Mammoth (no iPlayer in Ireland and over for the football). Wonderful stuff - funny, warm and quite moving. Hope you get a full series.
@nomadicrevery Lovely use of Irish bands in ep 1, nice to hear Whipping Boy in there. Did that drive to Holyhead many times but wasn't aware of the tunnel under the river.
@tebiflex That feedback is direct though, there's a distinct lack of criticism (in the journalistic sense) now. The music media just reflects what's out as the role of a guide for listeners has gone.
See you from 4pm on @8RadioIreland for joyful indie, grunge, 80s alternative rap, a song that was decades ahead of its time, a band you wonโt remember but a song you may, one of the all time great spoken word intros and an alternative national anthem. #Try8Radio
@nomadicrevery tend to agree with you on Jazz. Got GH at the age of 12 in 1981 and worked my was back but never got it and still don't really. Felt the same about The Game but have come around on that one.
