Under the SAFE-T Act, judges are legally barred from detaining nearly half of all arrestees, and they can't even consider threats to property as a reason to hold someone. In practice, the system protects repeat offenders from consequences.

Can someone explain to me why I should devote even one iota of time and effort to helping the regime media outlets that President Trump banned from the White House?

This is beyond whether it’s a good or bad idea to have done it. Let’s assume it’s a bad idea.

Again, why would I or any other conservative choose to help them? Why would we spend any time at all supporting their cause, time we could be spending to support our own?

1. Would those media outlets help us if the tables were turned? Well, we already know the answer to that. They were eager participants in the cancelation of conservatives under Biden. So no, they would not help us. Why would we help them?

2. By helping them, don’t we help ourselves by preserving freedom of speech? No. See above. We already know they have zero interest in our freedom of speech, and, in fact, actively oppose it.

3. But isn’t it important for people to have a free press? Yes, in theory, but the unspoken premise is that these outlets are part of a free press. They aren’t. They are committed ideologues devoted to attacking us and undermining our country.

4. Aren’t you just bitter about the way the Washington Post printed a story about you full of false innuendo accusing you of something you didn’t do and failing to disclose readily available information that would’ve undermined that negative narrative? In fact, the regime press is garbage, as that incident reaffirmed. Why should I spend any of my time or effort caring about what Donald Trump did to them?

Remember, we only have a limited bandwidth for genuine caring, and can only focus on so many things at any one time. We all choose what we focus on. I choose not to help our enemies regain a position from which they can further cause us harm. Instead, I choose to focus my efforts on defeating my enemies in the midterms. Beware of anyone choosing to help the enemy at the expense of helping their supposed allies.

Hey, regime media, you’re on your own. I don’t care what Donald Trump does to you. Just like you don’t care what your lefty friends do to us.

Illinois has quietly created a protected class of multi-millionaires, and they are entirely funded by your tax dollars.

While most Illinoisans are squeezed endlessly by inflation and the nation's highest property taxes, a select group of former state employees enrich themselves on a scandalously broken public sector pension system.

The math:

>184 state pensioners now make enough to sit in the top 5% of all U.S. income earners.

>The top 50 retirees took home an average of $437,000 last year alone.

>By the end of their lives, these top 50 will collect roughly $10 million each, 20 times more than they ever paid into the system.

>Despite this, the state’s pension funds only hold 48% of what they owe.

The culprit is A 3% compounding automatic raise baked into the law decades ago, regardless of the state's economic health.

@GovPritzker and some state lawmakers want to expand benefits further, adding another $13 billion in liability.
