A huge congratulations to everyone who represented Park Hill in the England Rocks TTRS competition this week. We achieved 668th place out of 4152 schools. Furthermore, 6H emerged victorious in the inter-school battle!
Today I was proud to join @HOLTofLondon, schoolchildren and local businesses at the unveiling of the restored Surrey Street Drinking Fountain - a rare piece of Croydonโs Victorian heritage.
Originally unveiled in 1887 by Civic Mayor Frederick Thomas Edridge to mark the widening of the High Street, itโs a reminder of the civic pride Croydon once celebrated - and that we are working to restore.
The project is part of our Amplifying Surrey Street programme and links directly to our Town Centre Vision - strengthening heritage, improving public spaces, and creating a town centre residents can be proud of.
A huge thank you to Heritage of London Trust, Proud Places, and pupils from @phjscroydon and @KrishnaAvantiPS schools for helping bring this piece of history back to life.
Some Y5 pupils had a fantastic sporting morning at Croydon High School yesterday, trying new events and equipment. They were so enthusiastic and amazed themselves with the standards they achieved.
Thank you to the PE staff at Croydon High for inviting us.
What a fantastic morning of sports day activities! Congratulations to Johnson house on winning the morning event with 1161 points ๐
We look forward to Thursday's afternoon events, where parents and carers will join us - can another house take Johnson's sports day title?
This morning PHJS welcomes.. Chad Miller! A team GB medallist and one of the fastest sprinters in the country in 2022โฆ Our pupils gave him some words of encouragement for his race this evening. Thank you Chad!
