@txicmonoshipper @twinkseme @rxtex1 5 ch ago the story actually made sense to me. You could see real character development, regardless of whether Jo was eg or not. IMO, Ian should have just stayed single. stop commenting if you know you’re starting unnecessary drama. stay in your corner and enjoy it.

One of the most painful moments in this conversation is when Jo finally asks Ian:

Did you ever love me?
Or were all the feelings I thought I received from you just lies?

Ian answers:

Yes… there were.
That was never a lie.

And then he says something even more heartbreaking:

If I could… I wanted things to continue like that.

He’s not leaving because he didn’t love Jo.
He’s leaving because Ian truly believes all the bad things in life follow him, that he carries that darkness with him.

So in his mind, the only way to protect Jo is to walk away.

Seeing them like this, seeing them cry, seeing them suffer… it’s really painful.

Because only real love hurts like this.
