A massive thank you to @bedsopera for an indescribable 3 weeks working towards our double bill show of Dido & Aeneas and Down in the Valley.

It’s been an absolute please to work alongside incredible people such as @Fred_Broom, @raenicholls and @richardsisson . 🎶🫶📸

Currently listening to @BBCRadio3 In Concert and heard an amazing performance of Jonathan Dove’s ‘Into Thy Hands’ performed by @pembrokechoir conducted by @annalapwood. An absolutely beautiful piece. ☺️🎶🎧

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that learning music is pointless. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that learning an instrument is pointless. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that being in music ensembles is pointless. They’re unequivocally wrong. Music is full of purpose and meaning.

[Anna Lapwood @annalapwood]

Such a fab time directing an Eton Choral Course last week. We recorded a @BBCRadio3 Evensong while we were there-broadcast today at 4pm. I always find it extraordinary how 65 teenagers, many of whom have never sung Evensong before, can get to broadcast standard within a week!

[Phoebe Law @phoebelawsop]

Very much looking forward to @ChoralCourses’s Eton Residential next week and having the opportunity to see @annalapwood perform in the #RAH for her #BBCProms concert. Couldn’t think of better way to start the week 🤍🎵🎤

[Anna Lapwood @annalapwood]

The slightly surreal moment you see yourself on a tube advert…!! 🤯 Just 3 days to go until @bbcproms incl. music from Interstellar & a glorious new piece by @belli_olivia. Let me know if you’re going to be there! Can you tell I’m a little bit excited…. https://t.co/bSCtC8LCco

The @ReptonSchool choir tour finishes with a final morning enjoying the culture of Rome. A visit to the iconic Colosseum the perfect 👍 way to spend the last morning in the Eternal City. What a trip. What a group. What an incredible experience. The tour is now homeward bound ✈️!

[Repton School Life @ReptonLife]

And the full choir @ReptonMusic. What an amazing opportunity for all the pupils to sing 🎶 in Ostia Antica. These impromptu moments just as important on the choir tour as all the planned events. Memories being created for a lifetime here in Rome

[Phoebe Law @phoebelawsop]

Such an amazing experience singing in a beautiful, historical place. Thank you @ReptonMusic #Reptiles #singing #Rome #music 🎶🎵🫶

A real privilege to see the cast, crew and band for the upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast in rehearsal this evening. So much work goes into these productions both on & off stage. We cannot wait to host @ReptonPrimary for the matinee performance 🎭 on Tuesday afternoon

[Repton School @ReptonSchool]

A tale as old as time is taking to the stage in our 400 Hall Theatre this week as our thespians begin their production of Beauty and the Beast!

Here is a glimpse of what is to come for those lucky enough to get a ticket. We look forward to seeing you there!

Music is important. Music in our homes is important. Music in our schools is important. Music in our relationships is important. Music in our communities is important. Music in our lives is important. It doesn’t matter where we find it, music plays a vital role in all our lives.
