3/ But as a company grows and matures, the focus shifts from excitement to execution. Later stage investors are interested in marriage. The fights are worse, but the investment is bigger, and you're both left suffering.
1/ Early stage investors are hopeless romantics, because there is no data, no traction, no objective reason that you should invest. But you fall in love with the entrepreneur or the idea and you give them all your money.
2/ Some investments are one-night stands. There's not a lot of protection, but you're left trying to pull out as quickly as possible. But you still get your nut. These are the token projects you 100x-ed at 2%.
