It's been 19 weeks now since the Phoenix family have been able to meet face to face. We really miss seeing each other but our Zoom sessions are a close second. A different theme every week thanks to our talented choir master and lots of smiles and laughter!

What a year for our little choir. We know this year maybe a one off and we may never be in the same position again so we take nothing for granted. We just feel lucky to have been given amazing opportunities and to have shared it as part of our Phoenix Family

Particularly happy because as this weekend (last year) we were crowned champions in the National Signing Choir Competition and if you look closely you can spot the cup !

. #PhoenixSigningChoir, appeared on the #BBC #Eurovision programme , Eurovision: Come Together with @grahnort we were asked to sign a famous Eurovision song, we chose Congratulations by #cliffrichard, and we all got together on Zoom to record our signing from home 1/2

May 1st 2020...well this popped up our calendar today as being the day we needed to be on the choir bus down to London for the National Signing Competition tomorrow. So we are all disappointed but know that one day soon hopefully we will be there.

Here at Phoenix we were never going to let a bit of Social Distancing get in the way of us getting together so last night with the aid of Zoom and WhatsApp we laughed, chatted and signed our way through some classic power ballads, a few favourites and our new choir anthem 🎼❤🎶

Last night we had the honour and privilege of being invited to perform at the 2425 Air Cadets Squadron awards presentation evening. We performed three songs to an appreciative audience receiving some lovely feedback and lots of interest in learning BSL for themselves.

Back to Epperstone Court for our annual evening of Christmas carols. It wouldn't be Christmas without some slight technical hiccups but we all had fun and definitely earned the tea and mince pies afterwards. Thanks to Tracy and the residents for giving us such a warm welcome

It was lovely to take the time to perform again on "home turf" for our local village Christmas lights switch on. We signed a mixture of Christmas songs and traditional carols to an audience of all ages. Thank you very much to all of those involved who made us feel so welcome.
