I don’t know if this project is still on your radar, but if so, here is the annual recap (a huge thanks to @NateLatshaw for the figures!).
First, a brief introduction. A couple of years ago, I started tracking the performances of regional champions once they reached the UFC. I wanted to see if there were better promotions or specific paths that led to a more successful UFC career.
I started with the major regional promotions, but then I clearly lost control and added as many as my free time allowed.
I even started tracking DWCS contract winners for the same reason: I wanted to compare how being signed directly compares to being signed via the Contender Series.
Anyway, that's enough for now, here is the data for the regional champions:

Totally useless fun fact of the day part 28: both Kotetsu Jeeg and its remake/alternate sequel Kotetsushin Jeeg appeared on the top right of the cover of the first issue of the magazine where they began their serialization
Since I've recently gained some followers who share a passion for animanga, I thought it'd be cool to re-share this video from 20 years ago, when my schoolmates and I played Haruka Kanata from Naruto at our school's talent show.
I'm the bass player.
