The more time goes on, the more convinced I am that Dr Who's slitheen in downing street was a premonition and they are running the labour government 🤣 @danwootton
We are not doing anything to the world! "Climate crises" have been happening for billions of years, it's a fact of the evolution of the planet. Now we have that settled, as a green you can encourage everyone to pick up their litter and dog shit and bin it
This is so horrendous and upsetting.
The consequences of the climate crisis being felt often by those who have done the least to cause it.
Thinking tonight of all those affected and what we're doing to the world.
@dshensmith@Telegraph My reply to that would be "if you don't take any of your criminals back then we will a, stop all aid to Pakistan effective immediately, b, stop all visa applications from Pakistan c, not allow any current Pakistan residents to apply for citizenship of the uk, d, sanction Pakistan
@Telegraph As MP she would look down on anyone throwing a sickie, she should now resign as MP, she should have gone in and told the truth that mandleson was not good at his job and his appointment was a mistake. If she doesn't resign then @andyburnham should remove the whip
@anotherfish759@Telegraph Also note there are many things he can do that would be private and away from the public eye. Most decent people reject all forms of paedophilic behaviour, whether they were incarcerated or not, because the child serves a life sentence, so should the perpetrator.
@anotherfish759@Telegraph I don't have time to go back and forth with anyone today but lease note I said "socially" that means if the public feels that the criminal justice system failed, then the public have the right to reject a paedophile in their lives, be it on their screens, on their bookshelves etc
@dobbinshire@NicDenso@RupertLowe10 As an unpaid carer I survive on less! I receive benefits to survive, I work upto 70hrs per week. Unable to fund a private pension and no employer for a work pension, am I one of your freeloaders? £86.45 per week for 35hrs care, that's £2.47ph! No holidays, no pension, no perks.
@anotherfish759@Telegraph Convicted persons that have CA of any nature on their rap sheet but avoid punishment should be punished socially, actions have consequences, huw knew he was breaking the law. Friends, family etc it's up to them but the wider general public don't need them around.
@anotherfish759@Telegraph Where was he punished? That's the issue, he was guilty of the most heinous crimes against children possible but served no custodial sentence. A suspended sentence is a gift to Edwards and a punishment to his victims. Because the system failed, the public remains outraged by him.
@narindertweets@Rod__Mason The puzzle piece that is missing here (and in most cases of rioting) is direct proof that those comments were what caused the civil unrest. You could argue that riots and cold rage are a total oxymoron when placed in the same sentence, riots are hot headed, not calm but angry
@LukePollard Maybe you can tell us how much no10 north is costing the tax payer and how it's being costed, @andyburnham seems to be tight lipped or ignoring calls for this information, it's important information and I don't think the money was there to do it, now we have 2 offices to pay for!
@AlexJJNorris I don't use buses so that's not saving me anything, I can't afford pubs and clubs so that's not saving me anything, as far as VAT on energy bills 84p per week I currently pay £92pm on energy and next month it goes up to £135pm when my fix ends so that won't help either! #clueless
@AngelaRayner How about controlling the buy to let interest rates which if kept lower, helps keep rents lower. That would help both landlords and renters and keep the rental market flowing.
'We won't be looking at rent controls'
On #BBCBreakfast Housing Secretary Angela Rayner said Andy Burnham's new government ruled out freezing rents as part of his cost of living measures

@andyburnham How much is it costing the tax payer Andy......in full, travel, rent, building, stage, security plus miscellaneous costs! That's OUR money you are spending, no10 north benefits you, not the country!
@KemiBadenoch Can you find out how much this narcissistic project of no10 north is costing the tax payer when there is a perfectly good office in London, we want to know rent, travel, building and any other associated costs. It's our money we have a right to know where it's spent
EXC: Burnham flew to his first day at No10 North on Prime Ministerial jet GBNI, an Airbus A321. This would have cost around £30,000 for taxpayers
He landed in Manchester at 0957 so has been ‘working from No10 North’ office for less than an hour

@andyburnham How much is this costing the tax payer Andy? Private jet from London to Manchester, temp digs with police officers on the door, new building going up which acquiring land in 5 days seems a bit dodgy 🤔. You have a perfectly good office in London and use of chequers.
