Andy Detwiler, better known as The Harmless Farmer, lost both arms in a farm accident when he was two years old.

He learned to drive tractors, fuel equipment, make repairs, run the farm, and do nearly everything with his feet, chin, shoulder, and teeth.

Eventually, he started sharing it on YouTube, where he grew a channel to over 100,000 subscribers who watched him do farm work.

He died in 2022 at 52, and his community later raised money for a bronze statue near West Liberty, Ohio. Incredible life

Remembering Val Bettin on what would have been his 103rd birthday earlier this July 🎂

A gifted actor and voice performer whose warm, distinguished delivery brought several beloved animated characters to life, including:

• Dr. David Q. Dawson — The Great Mouse Detective
• The Sultan — Aladdin: The Return of Jafar
• The Sultan — Aladdin and the King of Thieves
• The Sultan — Aladdin: The Animated Series
• The Bishop — Shrek
• Egon Pax — Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles
• Sarks — Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series
• King Tivius — Hercules: The Animated Series
• Herbert Olsen — W.I.T.C.H.
• Professor Porter — Disney’s Tarzan video games
and many more!

Bettin became especially memorable as Dr. Dawson, Basil’s loyal companion and narrator in The Great Mouse Detective. He later became the familiar voice of Agrabah’s kindhearted Sultan throughout Disney’s Aladdin sequels and animated series.

Val Bettin passed away in July 8, 2021 at the age of 97, but his warmth, charm, and distinctive performances continue to live on through the animated worlds and childhood memories he helped create.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Val Bettin ❤️

With the passing of Sam Neill, fans are remembering the beloved actors who helped make Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film one of cinema’s most enduring adventures
