Maha Shivaratri is observed in reverence to Lord Shiva, with night-long vigils, abhishekam, and mantra chanting. The rituals are performed to honor the transformative and ascetic aspects of Shiva, representing stillness and internal awakening.
Lakh Batti is a fire ritual in which 100,000 lamps are lit as an offering. The flames are dedicated with specific mantras under the guidance of a priest, often during festivals or important family observances.
Vivāha Sanskāra is the Vedic wedding ceremony, conducted with sacred fire, mantras, and symbolic vows. It formalizes a union based not only on social custom, but on mutual commitment and spiritual alignment.
Divali is celebrated by lighting lamps and worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and harmony. It marks the symbolic return of light, prosperity, and auspicious beginnings in the home and heart.
Rama Navami commemorates the divine birth of Lord Rama, who is honored as the embodiment of righteousness and ideal conduct. The day is marked by puja, chanting from the Ramayana, and devotional singing in praise of his qualities.
Upanayana is a significant rite of passage marking the formal beginning of spiritual education in the Vedic tradition. During the ceremony, the sacred thread is given, and the initiate is introduced to mantra recitation and daily discipline.
Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga and her nine manifestations. It is observed over several consecutive days with daily rituals, recitation of prayers, and traditional offerings. Each day honors a different aspect of the Devi
Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna, celebrated at midnight with bhajans, Gita recitation, and symbolic darshan of baby Krishna. Devotees fast during the day and perform evening puja and offerings.
Shānti Havan is a ritual performed to establish peace within the home, the mind, and the wider environment. Fire offerings are made with clarified butter, herbs, and mantras to invoke blessings and clarity.
Hartalika Teej is traditionally observed by women in devotion to Goddess Parvati. The day includes fasting, prayer, and rituals dedicated to spiritual strength and family well-being.
