Calling Pakistan a "pawn" over a simple paper condemnation is peak historical ignorance.

If we were a pawn, we would not have unanimously voted in Parliament to stay completely neutral during the Yemen conflict in 2015. We flatly refused Saudi Arabia's requests for ground troops, fighter jets, and warships to fight the Houthis. We did not fire a single bullet. Instead, we chose to protect regional stability and keep our hands clean, while only issuing diplomatic statements on paper to manage relations.

Now let's talk about real double standards. While Pakistan has repeatedly tried to stay neutral or support Iran, Iran has continued to grow closer to India. You signed a 10 year development deal for Chabahar Port, previously helped New Delhi at the UN Commission on Human Rights on the Kashmir issue, and still maintain a deep strategic partnership despite India's close alignment with your main adversaries.

In my opinion, Trump can only afford to launch another full-scale war against Iran after the November elections.

If he restarts the war now, he is unlikely to achieve any of his objectives, and it could seriously damage his chances of winning in November.

The MoU was already viewed by many as a very bad deal. Even so, it gave Trump something he could present as a political win. He was able to tell his supporters, "Look, I stopped the war."

Now, after restarting the war, he would no longer be able to sell this so-called victory to his support base.

I met two babies at Gimms in urgent need of ART treatment who were not getting it.

Doctors refer patients to sukkur - transport is 5-7,000 rupees. Patients also being charged 7-8,000 rupees for tests when they should be free.

In none of the cases were the parents also screened to discern if children’s HIV status was a vertical transmission or from re-used needles.

Instead of forcing people to pay for an ambulance the medicines should be urgently requested on site at GIMMS hospital for these tiny bodies. They don’t need much.

There is an acute dehimanization of our children and our people at every level. They only need that one pill to reverse the course of the virus.

Thankfully through donations we have obtained fully functional HIV testing kits and we’ll be testing the families of those children who died from HIV and AIDS related complications.
