Sometime around April 2023, My friend flew into Lagos, one week latter he started feeling some pain in his stomach, he don’t joke with his health so he immediately went to the hospital to do some body check up. he went to one of the best private hospital on the island, they did test, and lot of scan, when the result came out he was diagnosed of appendicitis, and he must be operated the next morning.
He made all the necessary payments that same day, then he went home preparing to come in for the surgery the next day, when he go home he put call through to his elder brother who was in the UK, informing him about the operation he was preparing for the next day , when his brother held the new he ask him “are you out of your mind ? You want to get operated in Nigeria ? Is something wrong with your brain ?”
His elder brother ended the call and instantly booked an emergency flight for him to London the next morning. british airways, they fixed him on the first flight, his brother sent him the ticket and boom he flew and landed London the next morning.
Immediately he landed , an emergency ambulance was already waiting for him at the airport, so he was moved from the airport straight to the hospital.
Now this is what burst my brain, when he got to the hospital he was moved straight to lab for medical checks and he did three scans, within 1hr, the results came out and they told him he didn’t have anything related to appendicitis, Gbam! my friend was in shock, this was someone that was to be operated in Nigeria that same day! Bruh!!!
He went straight to the doctor’s office then he collected some drug prescriptions, he left the hospital that same day, three days later the stomach pain disappeared, and he started feeling fine completely. I was really in shock!
That was when I fully understood why most of our Nigerian politicians fly abroad for the slightest headache, small body pain they are already in France or London to see their doctor, they don’t trust the Nigeria healthcare because it is damaged! It is really crazy fr.
They are just doing a lot of trial and error with our life in this Nigeria health sector, you are literally a lab rat in most hospital.
Pls if you can afford to japa pls do without looking back! Your chances of living longer abroad is more guaranteed than this Nigeria.
I’m seated on a chair you’ll find at any Lagos Owanbe, but here it’s my throne. The blue behind me is royal, the red on me is power, and the word ‘Fuji’ holds the story of where we come from.
I named this album after an entire genre because Fuji is bigger than music. It is Lagos, it’s street royalty, it’s our story, our hustle, our heritage turned global. What we see as everyday in Nigeria deserves to sit on the world’s biggest stages.
This is not nostalgia. This is reinvention. This is me carrying my roots into the future.
My album Fuji, is a celebration of the music, the culture, and every Lagos boy who dreams beyond the city.
This cover is more than an image, it’s a statement.
Oct 3rd.

Poor lady will wonder what she ever did to Nigerians to have them camp in her quotes like this.
The name was weird. That was her reality. She lived it. The beauty in the meaning of the name does not invalidate her experience.
Ugh!!
@ronaldnzimora I have become so desensitized that I don't see the problem with this centre. I saw worse when I worked in that sector. At least this one looks clean, just run down. You should see the filth in some primary health centres in this same Lagos.
Hian!!
I recall when I had a needle prick injury during NYSC. I had to purchase the PEP myself as there was no provision for it. The entire hospital management just unlooked.
I was pregnant.
That was when I knew clinical practice in Nigeria wasn't for me.
God abeg.
So, so sad.
I hope everyone remembers sha, that the entire country suffers the result of bad elections. The 100k you were given to spew bigotry and hate on social media will finish.
We are still in 2025, but I can clearly see the outcome of 2027 elections.
We will allow unwarranted and unnecessary hate/tribalism push us into another 4 years of stagnation as a country. Instead of focus on what matters, we will vote based on sentiments again.
