@xyberknight My read is that they wanted a high concept that didn’t require sticking to a single mythology.
And yeah, I get it. They just got done with Norse mythology and didn’t want to go back.
My only real worry is that because it’s every mythology, it’ll feel shallow or muddy.
Stoked that it’s not a prequel. Love that they cast Deborah Ann Woll. Excited by the possibilities of what gods Faye will meet.
The concept could get a little muddied maybe, but I’m gonna let ‘em cook.
Really hope it’s not 5 years away 😩
‘GOD OF WAR: LAUFEY’ follows Faye as she fights through the afterlife of the gods - the Everywhen.
Everywhen is where ruthless gods from across mythology vie for power in a land overflowing with dangerous magic.
I hope John Carpenter got paid tons of money.
He deserves it and if they are bringing Zack Snyder on board, you know the budget is going to be 20 times the original.
@nicholasadeleon lol so true because a lot of the best parts of the story are implied lore and not what’s shown.
And it’s the aesthetics that carry the movie so hard.
Other interesting choices that I’d be excited by: Dev Patel, Jack O’Connell, Andrew Koji, Austin Butler, Dacre Montgomery.
Not that I’d be mad at Henry Cavill or Aaron Taylor Johnson.
Honestly, I want fun, interesting casting choices. I don’t want them to go for the obvious.
Gimme @TheLewisTan throwing elbows and knees in a tux. Bond is supposed to be a duelist? Guess who actually knows how to fight with a sword.
Would be fun!
@thoraxe237@joshstolberg He doesn’t know that Auburn is better because it’s like a family.
I know that because I was educated over two hours in a hardware store by an older gentleman named Phillip. Shout out to Phillip.
Brendan Fraser says "please wish me luck" ahead of "The Mummy 4" filming: "I’m doing my best to get this 57-year-old gear in shape."
“We’re gonna get the band back together. The only way to do it. So, we are going to give the audience what they have been bothering all of us for, for the last twenty-whatever years. What we’re gonna do is saddle back up, go back to the locations — I should probably stop talking like this, because I don’t want to give everything away.”

Xbox needs to move faster, deepen our connection with the community, and address friction for both players and developers.
Today, we promoted leaders who helped build Xbox, while also bringing in new voices to help push us forward. This balance is important as we get the business back on track.
As part of this shift, you’ll see us begin to retire features that don’t align with where we’re headed. We will begin winding down Copilot on mobile and will stop development of Copilot on console.
