@Knight10293847@EbengerJohn@baundiesel One example is when you're first discussing a plan after Eos, your whole crew ditches you mid conversation without you telling them they're dismissed.
these were over arching decisions that held the game back. The choices made at the tippy top. The actual work everyone else put in to making those decisions come true was good. Like no one is denying the cinematic direction was excellent, that the combat was excellent. This game is a good case study because it had such slight errors that game directors can look at and try to not replicate.
Like this particular point. Someone cast an absolute powerhouse of a voice actor as your dad, made him look absolutely badass then snatched him away in such an odd way.
Mass Effect prior was a power fantasy, this was more a story of growth that never quite got there.
@KibryHouse It was. Still till this date one of my most fond memories.
Going from almost pure 2d games to this blew my young mind. No leap like that since has ever been made.
@EbengerJohn@Knight10293847@baundiesel Yo John! Yeah which could have been good but writing wise the whole game was condescending to you and treating you like a child - even from your crew who were just as untested and new as you. Might have been okay over three games but at least as a standalone it hurt.
