Boy's Life by Robert McCammon. Very fun, coming of age novel with mystery and magic sprinkled on every page. One of my favorite reads of the year, 10/10 ๐ฒ
Has to be one of the best USA games of all time. I know it's group stage, but tonight the boys were humming like I've never seen before ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
Elevation by Stephen King. Might be the most uplifting story King has ever written. A quick and beautiful read. You'll feel weightless and elevated after this one ๐
East of Eden by John Steinbeck. Put me in the minority here, but this book didn't blow me away. Good, yes, Great, I don't think so. I get the biblical parallels and beautiful insights, but this book felt flat, melodramatic, and a simple good/evil storyline. Sorry!
Azpilicueta holds a special place in my heart. Tough as nails Captain who played old school with this physicality and brilliant player on reading the game. Always prepared for big moments. A true Chelsea for Life ๐
Dear football,
Today, I want to share with you that this season will be my last as a professional footballer. After so many years living my dream, I feel itโs time to start a new chapter in my life.
Being honest, even though I have been preparing myself for this moment, I found it hard to write this letter. After 20 seasons , many people have played an important role in my career.
When I first kicked a ball as a child in Pamplona with my schoolmates, I never imagined the amazing journey ahead. Iโm grateful for every moment: the wins, the tough losses, the challenges, and most of all, the people Iโve met and the friendships Iโve made along the way.
To my teammates, coaches, and every staff member at all the clubs Iโve been lucky to be part of, thank you for helping me grow as a person and a player every day. Wearing the shirts of CA Osasuna, Olympique Marseille, Chelsea FC, Atlรฉtico de Madrid, Sevilla FC, and representing my country at the biggest stages has been a true privilege. Every moment has meant so much to meโฆ
