๐ Hey Team #PhysEd!
๐ Monday, I'm hosting a little online get-together to celebrate the relaunch of the website. I've spent the better part of this past year rebuilding https://t.co/eq70jO0vqu, and I'm pumped to finally share it.

Congratulations to #UAlberta Education professor and Associate Dean, Graduate Studies @doug_gleddie, who has received the Killam Award for Excellence in Mentoring for outstanding performance in mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and visiting research scholars!
I landed a new job teaching middle school PE. Iโve been teaching PK-5 for the last 4 years. Does anyone have suggestions on PE teachers I can follow for middle school PE tips/resources? #PE#SecondaryPE#pegeek#physicaleducation
@MrPhysicalEd@JoeyFeith That said, with the new site about to launch, I'm playing around with a "Designed For: Grade-Level" field on the new game pages. Options would be:
K-12 (All)
K-5 (Elementary)
6-8 (Middle School)
9-12 (High School)
K-8 (Primary)
6-12 (Secondary)
Would love feedback! #physed
@MrPhysicalEd@JoeyFeith Hey Eric! So I've always been weary of assigning grade-levels to the games. I did way back in 2010-2011 and it led to many teachers ignoring games that weren't "assigned" to their grade-levels.
IMO, many games can be modified to meet different grade-level needs. 1/2
๐ท https://t.co/eq70jO0vqu has been completely rebuilt and redesigned from the ground up. I've been working on this for a long time now and I am SO EXCITED to finally have a launch date in sight!
๐ Expect the new version of the site to go live on July 17th! #physed
โ๏ธ Happy Monday, Team #PhysEd!
๐ฃ๏ธ If you could travel back through time to the start of this school year, what advice would you give yourself based on what you've learned over the past 10 months?
โ๏ธ This week's edition of The #PhysEd Newsletter is ready to go! Here's what you'll find in it:
โฑ๏ธ Get the most out of 30min lessons.
๐ช Fitness lesson walkthrough.
๐ข Student feedback to drive your growth.
โพ๏ธ A crazy PE/STEM idea!
๐ Subscribe here: https://t.co/kxfS5Nbgu3
๐งโ๐ฌ STEM Cross-Curricular. As with all of his videos, Mark does a fantastic job of making science and engineering fun. I could totally see this video as the foundation of a cross-curricular #PhysEd unit with STEM. (cc: @MrWillPE)
โค๏ธ As a #PhysEd teacher and self-proclaimed geek, I loved @MarkRober's latest video!
โพ๏ธ Check out video to see the ridiculous engineer tactics he used to attempt to outplay some pro-level Whiffle Ball players!
3๏ธโฃ Quick thread on 3 things I loved: https://t.co/JDrbvEF8Ik
๐ Whiffle Ball. A 3v3, alternative striking and fielding game that requires minimal equipment? Yes, please. Here is the Major League Whiffle Ball official rule book: https://t.co/TLqfLSH7Xk
๐ Question: Who is the fiercest #physed advocate that you know?
๐ Iโm looking for leaders who have been able to bring real change to their schools, districts, states/provinces.
๐๏ธ My hope is to sit down with them for future episodes of The #PhysEd Show podcast.
