was you guessed it …Empty I was asked to leave. I explained I was sitting there because there was no table or flat surface in the disability seating. There was absolutely no empathy or thing to understand. Disability design should not provide different access. #Amtrakwolverine
@Amtrak I am currently on the wolverine train sitting in disability seating because of …my disability. There is no tables to use for work or reading in the disability seating. So, I went and got food to sit in the cafe car and do some work. Even though the cafe car….
Horrified & heartbroken.
I’m praying for the family & loved ones of Samantha Woll, for the Jewish community in Detroit & all those holding the pain & grief of this unconscionable loss.
Sam was a beloved former Congressional staffer, President of her synagogue’s board & Founder of the Jewish-Muslim Forum of Detroit.

One of the hardest things about being black in America--is that white people (well meaning most of the time) constantly try to tell you how you must behave, what is and is not racist, and why you should be gracious even in the face of blatant disrespect by other white people...
This is heartbreaking. Lance Reddick was fabulous as Cedric Daniels on "The Wire," and had one of my favorite lines in the show. ("Bend too far, you're already broken.") Also enchanting in a guest spot on "Lost." He was 60 years old. https://t.co/5rwZKqHgri
I just voted for Hampton University on https://t.co/FT80arrlX2. The 2023 Home Depot Retool Your School Campus Improvement Grant Program is Back. Vote today at https://t.co/gGBESIdUpR
The collective grief, heartbreak & horror unfolding at Michigan State tonight is unfathomable. Holding the entire MSU community in my heart. This repetitive terror cannot continue. We must come together and do whatever it takes to protect our kids & communities from gun violence.
I’ve been briefed on the shooting at Michigan State University. The Michigan State Police along with @msupolice, local law enforcement and first responders are on the ground. Let’s wrap our arms around the Spartan community tonight. We will keep everyone updated as we learn more.
As we've seen over the past week there is no shortage of people willing to anonymously or publicly tear down the vice president. So since no one seems to know what she has done or is doing I'll put in all in one place:
Today, let us remember Martin Luther King as he was: A Black radical anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, revolutionary Christian internationalist who was deemed an enemy of the State and assassinated for his radical work. Just about everything else is a lie.
I may not be able to dismantle oppressive institutions, but I have found ways to control aspects of my life so the system doesn't completely control the narrative of who I am if they don't like what I do.
A few lessons...

I made the decision to pull my son from his little league football team in the middle of the playoffs when I recognized that I couldn’t trust the people running the team.
Some people asked what that was teaching him about quitting.
I said “to not stay where there is no peace.”
