Got myself a great new #Secretlab chair to upgrade my setup from "covid PhD student" to "remote professional"!
(And I get 2 extra warranty years for sharing this with everyone ๐).
@ashhufnagle1 Used conference submissions as waypoints with a hard deadline. I used different conference deadlines throughout the year and planned what piece it was reasonable for me to have by then and then looked towards that smaller goal as opposed to the whole thing.
Excited to have presented some of my dissertation work at @isls2022! I have a poster and a talk that took place today. I have posted the documents for asynchronous viewing in Whova and welcome people to post questions. Let's talk about how classroom practices are sustained!
Check out our ISLS student networking event coming up. 11:30 PM JST, 10:30 AM EDT! It will take place in GatherTown. Come meet other students from all over the world and make new connections. @isls2022@islsnews
The 'Coffee & Chats with Professors' mentoring sessions are back at #ISLS2022! @ISLS2022
This is a call for mentors & mentees to participate.

This a great opportunity to any grad student who identifies with the Learning Sciences community! You don't have to be part of an LS program to join. Serving on this committee has been a great experience this past year! I encourage people to nominate themselves!
๐ข Want to get involved?! ๐ขThe International Learning Sciences Student Association (ILSSA) was created for students, by students, and we invite nominations for student members of ISLS to serve on the committee. For info on nominating yourself of others: https://t.co/PuBWtgGhM2
I did it! Thank you to @djwink1 as well as my committee for all the guidance and support. I have officially passed my dissertation defense! And a big thanks to everyone who came to my presentation! I really appreciated people coming to hear what I've been up to!
I defend my dissertation tomorrow!!!! ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฒ๐คฏ I'm very much looking forward to being able to publicly share my work over the past 2 years. Thank you to everyone who has supported me to get to this point.
A key aspect of developing our materials is asking STUDENTS what phenomena they find interesting. Please share these surveys with your high school students. #NGSSchat
