I absolutely love my job, but we cannot deliver the appropriate care our patients need and deserve due to being so overstretched, overworked and understaffed. A pay rise is the bare minimum to be able to increase our staffing and relieve these pressures! @WestMidlandsCSP@nhsuhcw
Feeling like I’ve come full circle finishing my last placement at the same hospital I had my first, definitely changed a lot both professionally and personally since then but can’t believe it has come by so fast!
Feels like last week @SteelePippa was introducing the course and saying the 3 years will go by fast and now we’ve just had our last ever practical session. Can’t believe we’re nearly qualified 😮😀
It’s come to the end of 10 weeks at RBH, such a rollercoaster living in a new city during a pandemic and completing two completely different placements back to back in Women’s Health and on AMU/ HMU, loved them both, learned so much and had some really amazing experiences ☺️☺️
Great morning on HMU, our superstar patient is outside for the first time since October with our Physios and Nurses #rehablegend#MDT (photo with consent)
Drs and nurses collectively make up less than 1/3 of the NHS workforce. A big thank you to the AHPs, healthcare scientists, dentists, midwives, students, administrators, house keeping staff, porters AND Drs & Nurses, as well as everyone else we couldn't do without right now #NHS
Some great points from the frailty section in the @clinicalphysio student conference today! Remember, frailty is NOT an inevitable part of ageing! A young neurological patient, such as a MS patient, that has immobility, incontinence, falls etc are also considered to be frail!
Never thought I’d be so emotional finishing a placement! Absolutely loved my time at UHCW with the Care of the Elderly team, very sad to be leaving so soon
