It’s not even a Nigerian thing, but somehow it hits harder when it happens within your own community. What I struggle to understand is that in many of these cases, the perpetrators know they are communicating with children. They know the child’s age, they know they’re dealing with someone who is vulnerable, impressionable and legally incapable of consenting. Yet they continue anyway.

I suppose my question is simply… why? What is it about a child that some adults find appealing enough to override every moral, legal and human boundary?

Adding to that, there are some people who also showcase their predatory behaviour on this app.
