“Kids are resilient” is one of the most B.S lines to come out of the pandemic.
If kids are so resilient, why do we have a generation of adults still talking about childhood trauma?
Kids are vulnerable. Their mental health is just the easiest to ignore.
Please stop telling kids their "ADHD brains" don’t make enough dopamine.
It can undermine a child’s confidence in themselves.
The neuroscience is far more complex than that.
This is the chemical imbalance theory recycled to sell Aderall instead of SSRI's.

A brain scan can show us a picture of the brain.
It can't tell us the full story of a human being.
Why is biological psychiatry almost exclusively focusing on pharmacology, but rarely interventions that demonstrate better responses or interventions that change our biology?
For example:
- Exercise
- Sun exposure
- Nutrition
- Exposure
- Sleep interventions
- Behavioral Activation
People love blaming social media for youth mental health.
Another perspective...
I've spoken with ten "too busy" adults in the past week.
All agreed something must be done - but not by them.
Kids are lost in their phones because adults are too distracted to notice they exist.
“Madness is rare in individuals - but in groups, parties, nations, and ages it is the rule.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
I don't know an intelligent person who doesn't think this is insane. I know many smart people who don't have the guts to say it out loud.
It's INSANE to me that teens who are addicted to screens, nutrient deficient, avoiding sun and exercise and nature, getting poor quality sleep, ingesting toxic seed oils are then put on a health impairing, mind altering pharmaceutical drugs that at least doubles risk of suicide.
3 kids enter a classroom.
One burns through dopamine rapidly🧠🏎️
One moderately🧠🚗
One slowly🧠🐢
The first needs a.) movement and b.) novelty to replenish dopamine and learn.
The school says he has ADHD and puts him on stimulant meds💊
Welcome to modern "mental health."
Wearable culture is a direct backlash to watching elderly people with varicose veins, diabetes, and being so fat/weak they can't pick up their own grandkids while facing the risk of death from a slight fall
If wanting to be a healthy grandfather makes me cringe then so be it
The first generation of kids raised on pills for "attention disorders" is all grown up.
They're reporting addiction.
A pipeline to drugs like SSRI's.
Sexual dysfunction, cognitive issues, and feeling like strangers in their body.
Today's kids deserve skills before pills.

Who exactly is putting millions of kids on powerful psychiatric medications?
Often, practitioners with little formal training in nutrition, exercise, sleep, or preventative medicine.
A sleep deprived, sedentary, overstimulated child is not "disordered."
That’s physiology.
A 16 year old student said:
I feel so much better after I work out.
My head is clearer, mood is better, and my confidence is higher.
Why?
She increased dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin.
The same thing pills do.
Every teen should know to operate their physiology.
Why are millions of kids labeled with disorders?
Because the adults assessing them don't understand physiology.
Sleep, nutrition and exercise aren't negotiable.
They are the foundations of health.
Behavior is an expression of physiology, not a disorder.
The infinite game is shaping a culture of health for our youth.
Not letting kids sacrifice their vitality to begin with.
A paradigm where health is normal, and disconnection from ourselves is the anomaly.
The future of health is not letting kids become unhealthy adults.
A parent left a comment:
"I agree we shouldn't drug kids for being healthy, energetic, and active."
Hallelujah.
"We should spank them instead."
Damn.
That a child’s potential can be so heavily shaped by the awareness of their parents should concern us all.
A battle for the future of health is unfolding.
The resistance to the mass medication of kids is growing.
This is where the health & fitness industry divides into two camps.
Influencers: Stay quiet to sell their shit.
Health leaders: Give kids skills, before pills.
A parent wrote me.
She wanted to know about our work.
I told her we teach:
Breathing
Sleep
Exercise
Nutrition
Brain Health
She said "no thanks" - and blocked the page.
Some kids will inherit health ignorance, others education.
The former won't have a "disorder."
Dopamine and norepinephrine are essential for mood, focus, and drive.
Modern life limits everything that helps kids produce them: movement, sunlight, exercise, human connection.
Why are so many kids anxious, restless, or unmotivated?
We've starved their physiology.
A generation of kids are being medicated out of their minds.
The average adult is too exhausted and distracted to care.
That's why we need extraordinary adults.
We are building a movement of leaders to stand up and kick-ass for kids.
We want you in the fight.
