@christinachaey Do you have a recipe for the roasted-barley iced tea mentioned in your Healthyish blog post? Or is it just a mater of sweetening and chilling brewed barley tea?
@hildabast @WIRED@EricTopol Equal to confirmation bias is casual understanding of statistics. Sint Maarten only had 15 reported deaths, so ranking it 12th based on a figure of 350 deaths per million when total population is less that 50,000 is misleading. Look at all the figures, not just the sort order.
Great to see conversation about contact apps @ABCNews. How does this relate to the work being undertaken by Apple and Google? Encrypted token exchange vs GPS tracking? Development of app vs timing of OS update to include new SPKs?
Reliable news outlets like @abcnews need to get out in front with thoughtful, measured pieces debating strategies like contact tracing apps, drawing links to existing examples like drug testing in some industries. Trade-offs will be required between liberty/economy/privacy
Coronavirus tracked. So hard amid the noise to see what is going on in specific countries. Would be helpful to be able to click on the daily rate of cases/deaths to see graphs filtered by the regions used in the stream graph @financialtimes
Great article Tim, a conversation all countries need to be having. How do we value a statistical life? | Free to read https://t.co/CxhqTbZD9T via @financialtimes
@ABCNews suggest investigate or alert authorities to possible error in data reported for Mar 28 COVID-19 to the World Dashboard. New cases may have been reported as deaths
@financialtimes Please bring this article out from behind your subscription wall, best graphs out there and being kept up to date https://t.co/GnHF4BauwU
@ABCNews Another tweak required for your graphs. The X-axis should have a clear tick mark to represent each day even though the number of labels is limited by space. Today's update might be misread as Mar 22.
@ABCNews Glad to see improved accuracy of data and better graphing. Please continue to make it clear for all by highlighting issues such as the testing bias that may underestimate the true number of cases.
@ABCNews Rate of change data would help Australians see the impact of the social distancing behaviour. Reinforce good choices or nudge people to make better choices if the rate of change is still high.
@ABCNews Help us see the rate of change, not just number of cases in each state. Consider normalising to either first case or day of 10th case as done here https://t.co/GnHF4BauwU
