@BenjiNaesen Yes, but not only that. As you said, Romo is looking left to the spectator and not seeing the Guardia Civil crossing. Bernard in front of him is looking forward and sees the GC. Most likely he's braking a bit and then Romo touches his wheel as he was looking to the spectator.
@Ultimatsportfan@laflammerouge16@looflol Wva is totally right here. Pog responded to attacks in the breakaway formation that had nothing to do with GC. If he wanted to show true sportsmanship he should have stayed with the main group where all his teammates were.
@BenjiNaesen I agree bc I only see Ayuso as a real threat to Roglic so, they should play it hard with Del Toro or Yates. That's why I also think Del Toro move last Sunday was a bit shitty as they could have gotten at least a 2' gap between Ayuso and Rog if DT group had waited Ayuso group.
@laflammerouge16 It didn't have any effect at all and actually I think Pog does not have to brake. Gap was minimum and VDP closed it by taking the turn way better (stops pedaling earlier and traced it perfectly), but totally right those motos shouldn't be there.
@medicinexthings Sure you can! I think when it comes to finishing a long distance (regardless of the pace), it's key to build the muscle adaptations to be able to last in such distance. So, I would keep an eye on strength and running volume, but keeping it balanced to not get injured!
@Erikwaage6@medicinexthings One thing doesn't rule out the other, UAE cycling team is a clear case of sportwashing for itself. Besides, there's no western government sponsoring a cycling team. However I agree with the core of your point.
@Tratnikstan@SwinkelsBram01 I might agree, but I don't see Pog dropping MVDP either. Also taking into account turnings and technical abilities, which in Roubaix counts more than in Flanders. I Pog is in the start line, good fight coming up for sure.
@faustocoppi60 Maybe U21 is a better choice. Despite having a pro contract, the riders of the U23 category haven't done much in terms of pro results, with the exceptions of Del Toro and Christen. So, imo there's still room for this category for those prospects to develop.
@Tratnikstan I agree, but I was just referring to TdF where he was doing a kind of Leclerq job while he could surely fight for stage wins. I see this as quite a downgrade for him. Also in MSR just launching and not having his chance.
@BenjiNaesen Clearly not, but Roglic was between the line of cars behind the peloton, so, if not his own team car he would had been brought back by any car anyway. To me it is a harsh precedent to sanction this as those cars are there and allowed to be there.
@BenjiNaesen Yes, it could be an improvement sth like 24 teams of 7 riders each, but imo salary cap (not budget cap) is key to spread talented riders among teams and making races and TdF more competitive.
Voleu jugar a fer aquests equips?
