🚨| Toto Wolff Praises Kimi Antonelli for Defying F1's 'Ruthless' Norms:
— Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff commended Kimi Antonelli for proving that success in Formula 1 doesn't require being ruthless. Antonelli's impressive start to the 2026 season, with six grand prix victories and three additional podiums, has positioned him as the championship favorite. Speaking to media, Wolff remarked:
“Everybody loves a fast driver, and when the fast driver is also a nice human being and a person who is supportive of the team that never has a bad thing to say, then obviously it's like a jackpot.”
— Wolff contrasted Antonelli's demeanor with the traditional view that F1 success demands a cutthroat attitude. He elaborated:
“In the past, there was the opinion in F1 that in order to be winning, you need to be an asshole, you need to be ruthless and opportunistic.”
“I don't think that Kimi is that. It's just down to driving faster than the others, and being a nice person also.”
— Reflecting on Antonelli's rapid rise, Wolff acknowledged the role of his upbringing in shaping his character. He noted:
“We don't know what will happen in three years. For me, it doesn't seem so because he has a really solid upbringing.”
— Wolff praised Antonelli's parents for prioritizing education alongside his racing career, highlighting their influence:
“Which driver has done the A-levels or the Baccalauréat? Name me one that has finished school. No one.”
“His parents said, 'On Monday morning after the kart race, you're going to school'.”
— Wolff emphasized Mercedes' commitment to guiding Antonelli as he navigates his burgeoning F1 career, ensuring he remains grounded despite his growing success.

Hello Piastrihivers! 🐝
If your favourite driver is Oscar Piastri, please take this lovingly made census. It's just for fun, but my oomf @maxxtropy had the idea to get a little reading of what Piastrihive is like!
https://t.co/alQ6xl806W
RTs very much appreciated 🐝📝
It’s been 4 years since this tweet. Since then, Oscar Piastri has scored 3.3x the amount of points that Alpine has scored as a team.
(891 points for Oscar, 268 points for Alpine)
Some Max fans will really find a way to defend this.
If she was doing a promotional video for a brand, do something that is authentically her. She's an influencer/model or whatever but what she isn't is a race driver and her playing that takes away opportunities from REAL WOMEN RACE DRIVERS.
Also, if the brand wanted to feature a woman race driver.. we literally have a lot of them who can take the spot. Kelly hasn't even gone to at least F1 Academy race & support the women and now she's going out there and pretend she's some cool race driver? LMAO.
missing the point. people are mad because drivers’ partners are shoehorned and consistently promoted by the sport/sponsors as women in motorsport ahead of actual women in motorsport. while kelly is a model, yes, she has now been the face of two women in motorsport marketing
