Andy Burnham has said he wants to take powers “deeper down” into communities across the UK.

But no decision should bypass the Senedd.

Plaid Cymru stands ready to work with the new PM to ensure devolution is both respected and developed to imrpove the lives of people in Wales.

There is close to £1 billion spent every year on ALN in Wales, where is the cut off, how much is ever enough?

Wales already spends 3% more on ALN than England and has a higher base spending on education, £125 more per capita.

Do Labour want to cut the health budget as well, should operations and cancer treatment be stopped because of ALN?

Because trying to claim hundreds of millions of extra funding that could be used to save lives, Welsh Labour are putting your health and lives at risk. They expect you to live in pain and wait for operations, just to score political points.

If Labour run local authorities are so concerned about ALN why spend £42 million on cycle lanes that 95% of Cardiff do not use. Why build a new £300 million music venue?

They expect you to pay the price for their negligent misspending.

Andy Burnham has styled himself as the champion of devolution.

But Labour have just posted a video of him in Cardiff talking to the public where he makes commitments to changes in areas that are devolved to Wales.

As Prime Minister he doesn't have the authority to directly change education, housing, business rates or social care.

Clearly this is just a two minute video coving a two hour period. TBF at one point he does distinguish the "English social care system".

But it's concerning that the man about to lead the UK isn't reflecting the reality of how the UK is governed in his messaging.

If Boris Johnson had done something similar when he was Prime Minister, the then Welsh Labour Government would have been apoplectic.

@spencerhopkins7 Do you not know anything about Wales, Argentina and Patagonia? There has been an ongoing relationship between the two countries for 160 years! There is a Wales-Argentina Society, Cymdeithas Cymru- Ariannin.

@andyburnham If only people had know you were going to be there, we could have asked about the billions owed to Wales as consequentials for HS2 that Labour supported when in opposition, or devolving the Crown Estate, which is supported by every LA in Wales, or devolving policing etc etc.

Today in the Senedd it is expected that @Welshlabour will vote againt the Welsh Government's supplementary budget.

Voting alongside Reform and the Tories, the NHS in Wales will not receive the intended £145 million intended cash injection.

We will have it put on the public voting record that Labour chose to side with Reform to block a progressive budget - including £120m for children with additional learning needs.

Wales rejected Labour in May. Labour’s response has been to reject the people of Wales’ priorities.

@daveshepperd2 @WelshLabour This is demonstrably untrue. There are nearly 97,000 Welsh speakers in the city, that's around 26.5% of the population. There are around 5,000 Arabic speakers and 855 Kurdish speakers. Facts matter, unless it's a Reform supporter.

I actually can't fathom that Labour in the Senedd are putting party politics before the progressive policies that would bring down waiting lists, expand funded childcare, expand free school meals and provide support for ALN provision.
