Sgt Casson, father of @CassSONGS, began his journey towards liberation in early 1945. 2 years earlier in his scrapbook he wrote 'Pre-war, Peace passed by as by a stranger - she was a stranger. Afterwards she may not be so difficult to recognise and not be so slowly appreciated.'
