Jewish game devs shared their experiences with antisemitism at #gdc2026. Some described conspiracy theories circulating among industry professionals, while others talked about hesitating to reveal their identity.
This report documents what they shared: https://t.co/sMD7S1sSM0
Could I get some support from fellow devs and creatives? We got a negative review on Steam for AI use... despite there being absolutely *no* AI use in our game.
TL;DR? Give a chance to show that AI wasn't used, or you'll be harming the very same artists you claim to be helping.❤️
19,000 games released on Steam last year
That's roughly 1/3 odds for making over 100k
(Especially if you release a good game)
The industry isn't as bleak as people think

I'm withdrawing from The Game Awards.
It's an honor and a dream for Broken Relic to be nominated for TGA, but unfortunately i don't think it qualifies for the category "Best Point and click of 2025"
Broken Relic hasn’t been released yet so it would be unfair for the other games in the category.
See you all next year

It's an honor and a dream for Megabonk to be nominated for TGA, but unfortunately i don't think it qualifies for the category "Debut Indie Game"
I've made games in the past under different studio names, so Megabonk is not my debut game 🥸
I know I've been a bit subversive or maybe punk lately, but the Steam/itch.io situation illustrates my point:
We don't control our business. Others make decisions for us. Not even an "indie friendly" site is a guarantee.
There's no more independency. It's the end of indie.
This October, our first-ever board game — Pilgrims: Curious Adventures, created with Pink Troubadour — is heading to the world's largest board game fair, SPIEL Essen!
Help us hype it up (and Pink Troubadour's other games, too!) with a thumbs up on BGG 🙏

Yesterday we heard the devastating news that Roberta Vaughn had sadly passed away. Roberta was a shining light and a beacon of positivity in this world who went far and beyond to help developers & fans without asking for anything in return. She will be sadly missed. RIP Roberta❤️
Rest in peace, Roberta Vaughan. You were a dear friend. Your kindness, optimism, humor, and goodness - your friendship - touched the hearts of everyone who knew you. You made the world a better place. ❤️
Today we lost an important person in the adventure gaming / AdvX community.
@doll8parts was a community organiser, did game dev PR, and helped in so many ways. She will be missed dearly.
Please consider helping with her medical bills, or sharing. https://t.co/e2a6NXofbT
Found these old texts from Roberta Vaughan that epitomizes who she was. This was after she got me onto a panel at Pax 2022. She never ever sought the spotlight. She worked tirelessly to shine the spotlight onto other people.
A true rare soul. One that left us way too soon.
