@inneskeighren Nope, don’t be mistaken: it’s not 1968, but 2023. The last 10 years have felt astonishingly bad for multicultural Britain. Braverman personifies this. I remember reading a book at RHUL called Why Europe will run the 21st Century. Leonard’s thesis has taken a battering.
@inneskeighren Nice read. Messy approaches can be vital to researching postal history before selling an interesting cover or postcard. It’s rewarding that connections (& Q’s) can be quickly googled. Names, postal rates tables, stamp & postmark studies, merchant histories, ship timetables etc
@inneskeighren Always Innes! HE has been abusing academics for way too long. Huge respect to those who have held their values while the wider profession appears to lose its integrity. Clearly stamps are niche. But academics are trained to do niche. Trained to learn, remember and refine process.
#AskWHO if you are a young(ish) person but are on high doses of steroids for auto-immune diseases or organ transplants, is Covid-19 significantly more dangerous for the individual(s) concerned?
