When I was in the Army, in 1999, I won a 4 day badge for The Masters from MWR at Ft Drum. He was there as an amateur. This was when the range was still next to Magnolia Lane. Kuehne was hitting a purple Ping Driver over the net and into Washington Rd.
Cool story at this week's U.S. Senior Open:
Hank Kuehne, '98 U.S. Amateur champ, turned 50 last year and is teeing it up at Scioto. He has Andrew Green—who renovated Scioto and Vaquero Club, where Hank is the pro—as his caddie for practice rounds.
Hank's brother, Trip, will loop for him for the event.
