@worldhockeyrpt Reminder: Shane Wright was projected to go first overall from spring 2019 until just a few months before the 2022 draft. DuPont is the real deal, but anything can change.
@nickiacoban In what world do the rangers have a better prospect pool lmaoo, outside of smits their talent level is limited, greentree is decent but was 20 years old last season and had arguably his worst season since his freshman year. I'm taking Eklund, aitchinson, Gustafson and esierman
@philzfactz@LuckyIsles@alex_phins4lyfe It's almost like I Said he was tied but did it twice as well lol, also I agreed with you that varly is still ahead of him so not sure what this has to do with anything
@philzfactz@LuckyIsles@alex_phins4lyfe He is also tied for the most shutouts in one season from an isles goalie (he's reached it twice). So you could say that time has helped but he reached the record very quickly.
@philzfactz@LuckyIsles@alex_phins4lyfe Disagree, he's just that good. He broke the all time record in just 185 games. Chico resch (former record holder) reached the same in 282 games. Also For comparison halak played 184 games total for the isles and only had 12.
@philzfactz@alex_phins4lyfe A Single season should not immediately make you 2nd or 3rd on the list all time lol. Not saying I disagree but longevity needs to be considered here.
@philzfactz@alex_phins4lyfe That's great but sorokin has more wins for the franchise, a better GAA and save percentage, more shutouts, finished 2nd in vezina trophy voting this year (halak never received a vote once during his 4 years here) and has more GP, how does he not rank higher on all time list?
@philzfactz@alex_phins4lyfe U could argue varly has done more because he took us to eastern conference finals twice. But what did halak and lehner do lol?
@RTaub_ Have a feeling they hand him a blank check and tell him to name his number, I also feel like he's the kind of person to leave money on the table, wouldn't be surprised if it's only 7x12
