1. PTSD and CPTSD are not a joke. They’re life altering and can radically reshape your physiology, not just your mental health.
2. Far more people have forms of post traumatic stress than are diagnosed. The vast majority, I would say, are never formally diagnosed.

I think a lot of us with ADHD are convinced we are too much. Too emotional. Too forgetful. Too late. Then we spend most of our efforts trying to be “good enough.”
Some of us never feel like we’re good enough.
I think THAT is where at least some of the RSD comes from.
Alot of us are coming out of a survival mode we’ve been in for majority of our lives. This is a deep healing time and coming out of survival mode is not easy. It’s exhausting and you have to work on your nervous system.

I'll never stop being shocked at how different I'm treated now that I have been replacing some of my male drs with women.

I've been met with empathy, gentleness, no weight shaming and a determination to do what they can to help my quality of life improve.
I'm thrilled that my dr changed my appointment to a video call "due to the increase in covid cases". It's nice to have a Dr with long covid too, she gets it on a whole 'nother level.
