What would you do if you’re the shop trying to do an alignment and the customer has aftermarket lug nuts on the wheels that prevent you from even getting the sensors over the wheels? You literally can’t perform the alignment.
I’d like to hear thoughts and suggestions.
Is it the shop’s responsibility to figure it out… or is it the customer’s responsibility to provide stock equipment so the service can actually be done properly?

I get DMs from people all the time who have been scammed or lost their crypto in one way or another.

99% of the stories I hear involve self-custody. The one person who contacted me after losing funds on an exchange actually got his money back.

Enough with the “not your keys, not your crypto” bullshit.

I’ve said from day one that giving banks the ability to custody and sell crypto is still one of the fastest paths to mass adoption.

I self-custody, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best solution for everyone.

Reputable exchanges have rarely resulted in people permanently losing their crypto. Self-custody, on the other hand, leaves almost no room for human error. Lose your keys, send to the wrong address, sign the wrong transaction, and there may be nobody who can help you.

At the end of the day, most people want someone they can call when something goes wrong.

And anyone who has moved a meaningful amount of crypto knows that feeling when you hit “send” and stare at the screen waiting for it to arrive.

That’s not how you get billions of everyday people comfortable using crypto.
