@jasveer10 Pertinent reflection, but the equation changes if one is the eldest child. The tussle between pursuing an independent life & staying close to family becomes real. The conflict becomes more sharper when career, growth & independence gradually give way to duty & responsibility.
A wonderful display of courage and empathy by the fishermen as they rescued the calf from the raging river. The mother’s cry as she sees her calf on being rescued says it all. ❤️🐘
@IndianExpress The blatant disregard for the law has given rise to such unwarranted & brutal violence. It’s unimaginable that one can be beaten to death in his own home, in front of his family, with complete disregard for the consequences. Such violence must be strongly condemned & prosecuted.
@SudhanidhiB The ethos of a destination is best captured through the right blend of sight, sound & culture. The "Sweetest Part of India" campaign managed to convey that beautifully. This current campaign needs to raise the bar on the emotional resonance & visual storytelling by a few notches.
@Ronak_Unadkat India & Indians are deeply family-centric. Our economy ultimately revolves around the growth, security & prosperity of the individual and family. GDP matters when it translates into jobs, healthcare, housing & education security. Otherwise, not much.
@aaraynsh Horrible tragedy, to say the least. Three lives lost under the weight of materialistic aspirations. The pressure on young minds from peers, social circles & screen life is at an alarming level. While conversations & engagement within families are steadily diminishing. Sad reality
@sujitnair90 Well said, Mr. Nair. Since 2014, I feel we have collectively become complicit by continuing to cheer the current discourse emanating from the very top. It's our responsibility too, as citizens & media, to provide space for an alternative discourse. The onus can't rest only on RG.
@barandbench This is akin to denying legitimate law students their basic civil rights. Such high-handedness is detrimental to civil liberties and discourages young citizens from participating, questioning, and expressing themselves in the natural course of a democracy. This is wrong.
@AdityaRajKaul We are suddenly worried about upbringing because a few Gen Z voices have used abusive language against the ruling dispensation. Yet, for 12 years, many remained silent as abuse from its troll ecosystem was encouraged and normalised. Why the double standards?
@IYC This is a welcome initiative. It's time to name, shame, and formally report abusive troll networks. For far too long, such behaviour has been normalised & tolerated. Healthy debate strengthens democracy. Organised abuse & intimidation do not. It's time this vileness is stopped.
@barandbench One of the most educated and accomplished political leaders of our time saw his image shaped for years by bitter political narratives.
Late Dr. Manmohan Singh, Sir, we owe you an apology. Too often, we failed to appreciate your integrity, intellect, and service to the nation.
@maheshperi@NandanNilekani Couldn't agree more. Our education system, coupled with the entrance exam ecosystem, often traps students in a cycle of repetitive preparation rather than meaningful learning, it's just like going around in circles. Education should be progressive in nature, not cyclical.
@RajatpandeyJF Ground reporting, driven by the right intent & courage, has a way of uncovering moments of truth.
Following up on Irfan's story & giving space to his candid voice amidst a sea of unfamiliar faces is a powerful reminder that the idea of India is very much alive.
हृदय से धन्यवाद!
@gvenugopalan@GitanjaliAngmo Agree with you, Sir. Sanatan, in itself, isn't the issue. My family including our own "cockroach" are Sanatan. But if this spirited movement by the students has gathered such momentum and united people beyond religious identities, let us celebrate it that way, why complicate?
@Polytikles I wish all of us had the courage and sincerity to speak with such clarity.
Our echo chambers made us lethargic, convincing us that nothing would change, so why bother? But this movement has shaken that inertia and awakened a nation.
Well played, cockroaches!
To every student across the country, and to leaders across the political spectrum who stood by what they believed was right, take a bow. You have sparked a movement that has awakened a nation. নিদ্রিত ভারত জাগে!
CJP’s Demand Rooster Has Been Updated:
1. Dharmedra Pradhan must resign - ✅
2. Rs 1 Cr to the families of all students who died by suicide - Pending
3. No action against any of the student protesters - Pending
4. Public Apology From RAF & Delhi Police - Pending
Jantar Mantar & Entire Country Is Still Waiting On The Rest Of The Demands.
@Saurabh_MLAgk The real urgency should be to galvanise support for the students, not to take pot-shots at one another. If the top leader of one party can stand with students at Jantar Mantar, there's no reason leaders across party lines can't stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Please unite.
@chetan_bhagat Calling students' anguish "great content" is pathetic. Yes, social platforms offer instant reach. But not every act of demanding accountability is a calculated bid for virality. Sometimes, it's simply people refusing to stay silent. That distinction matters. Boom!

आज मैं लोगों को दिखाना चाहता हूं कि मैं क्या कर सकता हूं... दिल कह रहा था कि मैं जाऊंगा प्रोटेस्ट में
