Every major infrastructure decision should be supported by evidence.
So where is the evidence?
If Scotland is considering proposals requiring around 6GW of electricity:
• Where is the cumulative assessment of electricity demand?
• Where is the cumulative assessment of water use?
• Where is the assessment of the long-term economic return to Scotland?
• Where is the evidence that our existing planning system is equipped to deal with development on this scale?
These aren’t arguments against technology.
They’re questions about good governance.
Trust is earned with evidence, not promises.
Piers Morgan spent the entire interview trying to bully Kemi Badenoch into apologising for supporting Israel.
She didn’t blink. She didn’t bend. She simply refused to apologise for not hating the Jewish state.
Very disappointing that some MSPs in Scotland are always trying to talk our country down instead of acknowledging how well our services are doing much better than in the rest of UK hence the need to be an independent country with all working for 🏴 like @theSNP who do put 🏴1st
BBC BritNat getting more and more desperate as its influence wanes. It now regularly promotes tabloid trash like this. We don't know which headline is more laughable.
@BBCScotlandNews
We just can't shake the feeling that the BBC's influence in Scotland is now all but none existent with respect to people voting. We're paying less attention to it than we used to. Maybe post Holyrood election fatigue, but somehow it just feels like the station's finished.
As Unionist rapist of an eight-year-old girl fades from the media two polls confirm SNP support increasing AFTER Murrell verdict and Sturgeon witch hunt https://t.co/2Hnm0twtE2
One of the most illogical BritNat obsessions is their craving for a Westminster Inquiry into Peter Murrell.
Why? His conviction has made zero impact on SNP support despite the BBC running wall-to-wall smears for a fortnight. Moreover, a Westminster kangaroo court could well backfire on the Unionists even if they manage to manufacture a fake 'public cash' reason.
Scotland's First Minister John Swinney has responded after Andy Burnham gave a speech claiming parts of Scotland feel as distant from Holyrood as they do from Westminster this week 🏴
🗣️ 'I don’t really think Andy Burnham is in a strong position to lecture me'
After the terrible experiences of locals in the US anywhere these life sucking monstrosities are sited, locals in #Fife should be out on the streets demanding it not be built,US locals have complained of constant buzzing day and night, water courses drying up, and people being ill
The Reporting Scotland item that covered Labour's plan to bill refugees £10,000 for accommodation contained no Scottish Labour MSPs. Instead a Reform MSP defended the move. Where is Sarwar? Where is Baillie? What are their views on this plan? Why are they being protected from scrutiny at a time their party is in turmoil?
Energy generated in Scotland has to pay a Billion a year to export it to England - the UK supposedly the same "country".
Energy generated in England pays France 700 million a year for the same to export it to a foreign country in the EU.
Something stinks here.
🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Sylvester Stallone:
“Antisemitism has no place in this world. Hatred against Jews is something humanity should have overcome a long time ago.
If you are Jewish, be proud. Your history is a story of survival, of faith, and of light. And the world needs more light.“
It's Firesale Scotland and it's going cheap. From the plunder of the oakwoods of Argyll in the 17th Century to today, there will always be those who say that it was the Scottish people who ruined their own country. It's long past time the Firesale stopped.
Said as soon as he was parachuted into being an MP, Burnham is no Prime Minister. He is going to be worse than useless for Scotland. He thinks Dundee is remote from Edinburgh, now this: https://t.co/KvIPRQ1Fu5
