@ChuppaVGC i swear to god a part of me genuinely believed they made them worse on purpose (both design-wise and competitive wise) just so they can get all of the people asking for more megas to go quiet, GF gets to say say “see? megas are back!” and then they never touch theme
ever again
@xaliu5@TBrit90 I was about to leave a comment but that is exactly what I wanted to say. I’m sure that countermeasures will be taken due to intelligence saying “it’s about to happen”, but I would bet that we will see many echoes of Spiderweb. And THEN, maybe, it’ll be taken seriously. Maybe.
@NotWoofers@VolunteerReport I’m sure there’s nothing of value in that fuselage section. Just stitch or glue the two halves together and voila! E-3ER variant thanks to the reduced weight and higher fuel efficiency. Outstanding innovation.
@Z3R0Gravitas@historydefined Regarding bright lights, I’m unsure. I have astygmatism but I don’t think I experience any discomfort from light that is directly caused by visual snow. I don’t think I’m significantly more discomforted by bright lights than the average person.
@Z3R0Gravitas@historydefined It’s definitely more noticeable in the dark when my eyes adapt to it. It’s really almost like the grainy low quality effect you get when using night-vision on the phone. But it doesn’t make it “harder” to see anything, it’s just there.
@kirstler31@Naomi_D_Harvey@NickChapmn@historydefined I thought something similiar when I was very young and I saw floaters for the first time. For some reason nobody understood what I meant when I said that “I saw cells” so for a few years I thought I would’ve made history as the first person to see cells with the naked eye…
@parasolprophet@historydefined I’ve curiously read that visual snow is also positively correlated with other visual eye phenomena like floaters and the prominence of the “afterimage” you get after staring at something and gazing elsewhere. And I experience both, quite a bit, too.
@clement_molin i think he might count deposing maduro as stopping a drug war or whatever. that or given that until september he claimed he stopped six wars, he just suddenly remembered and chose to add egy/eth and kos/ser from his first mandate because fuck it why not
@NotWoofers when I was younger I used to be very SDF aligned and I always preferred them over other many factions, but as time went by it felt like, even if theyve always been in a precarious strategic position and forced into hard choices, they kept bungling stuff they really shouldn’t have
@NotWoofers to me it’s really felt like watching a very slow slow-motion trainwreck, I was really quite hopeful at first but as more and more negotiations ended with little done, even just symbolically to get the ball rolling, it felt like something had to give at some point
@EuroWynner - just as equally annoyed. If anything it’s “miliardo (billion)” that should be dropped for consistency for “bilione”, but it’s such a nice word and i prefer it over “bilione”, which to me in italian sounds like a joke number like “gorillion”.
@EuroWynner I noticed this as an Italian and it annoyed me quite a bit. tbh I always just use “trillion” instead of “bilione”, unless I’m talking about something where it needs to be technically correct. My 11yo cousin learned it himself after being corrected by a teacher and was -
@NotWoofers this kind of thing has happened so many times now that someone needs to come up with an actual term for “trump being seemingly bent on something only for someone else to pop in suddenly and changing his mind”.
