We discussed the new EU support instrument for Ukraine — the #Reparations Loan, as well as the accelerated disbursement of €6 billion under #ERA loans this autumn. I also had the opportunity to address Ukraine’s international financing needs for 2026, as its stability and predictability are extremely important for us.

Reuters reports that Trump urged EU leaders to stop buying Russian oil, as it helps Moscow fund its war against Ukraine. Let's be clear: only Hungary and Slovakia are still importing Russian crude - every other EU country halted those imports in 2022

In August, Ukraine’s Drone Forces struck Russian oil refineries 17 times. Reuters previously reported 10 strikes, noting 17% of Russia’s refining capacity or 1.1M barrels/day was disrupted. @usf_army, @DI_Ukraine, and @SOF_UKR impose Ukrainian energy sanctions. Way to go!

@Mylovanov At the Shanghai Summit, Putin blamed NATO and the West for the "Ukrainian crisis" and demanded the removal of "root causes" for peace. Again. It is clear, that Russia remains committed to invest in the war and it is Putin who's not ready for genuine peace talks

@carlbildt Interestingly, NATO doesn't drag Russia's neighbors into the Alliance. But many, including Ukraine, are willing to join to protect themselves from Russian expansive wars. Nobody did more to nurture Ukraine's NATO aspirations than Putin himself.
