@scottnz411@PronouncedHare Some people have to make their announcements anti-woke coded and then accuse the other side of constantly instigating a culture war.
@schwinn3@BretWeinstein@clif_high Thank you, I have been that guy who since undergrad has been trying to tell people there's nothing absolutely wrong about saying the sun goes around the earth because frames of reference
@coco_galle_eden "Why is it not trusted" because people cherry-pick such articles and boost them on social media, and imply without argumentation that the article gives reason not to trust the media?
@JerseyAngus@NZFreeSpeech Adding, this guy's whole set-up does not scream "I am extremely self-aware and in control of how aggressive I'm coming across as". We just don't know that the police were wrong to feel they should intervene in some way.
@JerseyAngus@NZFreeSpeech I said prima facie. On the face of it. We don't know the context. PS "Paul engaged in a debate in a public place. For that, the police arrested him" another as-usual loaded misframing bordering on outright lie from @NZFreeSpeech
@NZFreeSpeech Comparing the maximum possible penalty of one case with the actual outcome of another can lead to a skewed perspective. Inflammatory to deliberately to do this as rhetorical trick. A more accurate comparison would be to consider what each individual faced when charged.
@NZFreeSpeech Ta for link. Inaccurate to say he *will* get a fine of $1000 if convicted. "Also "punch a granny in the face at a protest, and you'll be discharged without conviction" a complete non-sequitur. Equivalent is punch granny and be charged with assault facing $4000 fine, 6mths prison
