Chris Paddack & Tarik Skubal 12+ Ks
(-128 Fanduel) - 0.5u
Interesting prop— can see Skubal having a great night & RHPs have a lot of success vs the Tigers
Ranger Suarez Under 2.5 ERA - 1u
(-120 Draftkings)
Ranger Suarez is the Phillies go to ROAD starter. He’s gone under 2.5 Earned Runs in 5/5 away games, allowing just 0.8 earned runs per away start this season
Throughout June, the Braves are batting .236 as a team, that’s the 5th lowest team BA in the league. They also created the 3rd FEWEST runs through the past 2 weeks & hit .228 vs LHPs while hitting .250 vs RHPs
Ranger Suarez is in the 96th percentile for Pitching Run Value & 11/16 LHPs this season have gone under their respected Earned Runs line vs the Braves
I like 4.5 Ks but odds are juiced to the moon & I see a world where he struggles to get there 5-6Ks. Yesterday, Jesus Luzardo allowed 7 hits but only gave up 2 runs. I think the Braves put the ball in play again but Suarez will control the game when runners are in scoring position

@kcluke started researching again for todays slate & I really really liked Lauer’s 4.5 K prop
hopped on X to see if anyone else was on it…
and again man, seeing you on the same page makes me love this prop even more!
such a good look, odds are way too low, great early find 👏🏼
Zack Wheeler Over 6.5 Ks
(-105 #DraftKings)
Wheeler has a Strikeout percentage of 32.9%, Whiff percentage of 30.6%, and his extension is on average 7.3 FT.
Now he gets a beautiful matchup vs an Astros lineup that’s loaded with RHBs & this season, Houston is striking out at the 5th highest rate vs RHP.
Zack Wheeler has gone over 6.5 Ks in 12/15 starts this season & is averaging 7.9 Ks per game. He’s gone over in 6/7 away games as well.
Can’t pass up on -105 odds imo

The REAL problem with NBA All Star Weekend has NOTHING to do with the format… it’s simply because the NBA season is too long.
After back to backs and long road trips, when All-Star Weekend finally comes around, players feel like it’s their one chance to actually rest their bodies. We all know teams turn the intensity up a notch post All-Star break, so why would players play hard in a “meaningless” game during the one week they get to consistently rest? I’d bet most players think All-Star Weekend isn’t worth having their bodies stretched thin when their teams needs them the most & potentially risking their careers like Tatum & Haliburton.
If the NBA shortened the season just a little bit or removed back to backs or spread the games out a little more (I love basketball, but do we really need 12 games in 1 day?!), maybe guys wouldn’t feel like they’re giving up the one chance they have to rest. Then All-Star Weekend could be WILLINGLY fun and competitive again.
I don’t think this is rocket science, I’m just tired of the “What-ifs”. Injuries have been ruining every season recently & it feels like there can be an asterisk after almost every championship.
I know these guys make a ton of money but they’re human and something needs to change @NBA
Merrill Kelly Over 5.5 Ks 🐍
(-145 Draftkings)
Line should be 6.5 with the way Merrill Kelly has been pitching recently. He’s gotten 6+ Ks in 8 straight starts, with one of those games being an 11 K outing vs COL & the rest of those matchups were much more challenging than the Rockies lineup he’ll face again today.
Merrill Kelly’s %s:
Chase Percentage: 31.4%
Whiff Percentage: 25.5%
Strikeout Percentage: 24.8%
Brenton Doyle has faced Kelly 16x and got struck out 8x. Michael Toglia has only faced Kelly 7x but got struck out in 5 of those matchups— hopefully Merrill can farm Doyle & Toglia
