I hope your country, the United States, can protect me and my son. Europe certainly did not make me feel that it could.

🛑You lecture me about “civic duty” and hold yourself up as an example.
But you volunteered. It was your choice.

Most Ukrainian men today don't have that choice.
They are forcibly mobilized — grabbed off the streets, separated from their loved ones, and sent to the front, against their will, to kill and die. In the lost war that can't be won.

You served in a rear position, not for months at the zero line, where Ukrainian soldiers endure conditions civilians can barely imagine: shortages of water, food, medicine, and sometimes even the most basic means of survival.

You are a general’s daughter. You had privileges an ordinary Ukrainian soldier does not.

Ordinary soldiers often report hazing, abuse, suicidal orders, and violence within their own units. Read the investigations and testimonies concerning units such as Skelia, the 225th, and Shkval.

Before lecturing Ukrainians about duty, listen to the Ukrainians who are actually being forced to pay for that duty with their bodies.

🛑I am not an “apologist for national surrender.”

I am an advocate for Ukraine's national survival.
And there is no national survival without people left alive to constitute a nation.

Ukraine is bleeding people through death, injury, displacement, and demographic collapse. Millions have left, and many will never return. Births have collapsed while deaths vastly outnumber them.

And Ukrainians are dying to the soundtrack of your and other neoconservative voices chanting: “Stand with Ukraine.”

Standing with Ukraine should mean standing with Ukrainians, not with its corrupt political elites who turn war into a profitable business.

Standing with Ukraine should mean not treating Ukrainian lives as an inexhaustible resource for Western geopolitical convictions against Russia.

People like you, Meaghan, increasingly struggle to conceal the contempt beneath the rhetoric. Moral superiority and condescension cannot forever hide behind slogans about a “just peace” and Ukraine’s right to resist.

If you want more war and more blood, go to the front yourself. Take your own loved ones with you.

Leave my people alone.
And spare Ukrainians the lectures about how they ought to die.

That is how the @mobbs_mentality daughter of Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump’s former special envoy for Ukraine, comments under my post about the death of Volodymyr, 32, who drowned in a river while fleeing draft officers.

A representative of the American establishment — someone who sacrifices nothing in this war, whose family members are not being killed, maimed, disappeared, or tortured in captivity — feels entitled to lecture Ukrainian men on the proper way to die.

And yes, die is precisely the word.

Because apparently, living is no longer an acceptable option for them.

They must die.

Preferably heroically. Preferably on the battlefield.

Then the Epstein class can walk alongside Zelensky, lay flowers on their graves, and deliver stirring speeches about avenging them on Russia — while feeding still more Ukrainian men into the same machinery of death.

Volodymyr was a veteran. He had already seen the horrors of war.

This time, he did not want to be a hero.
He wanted to watch his son grow up.
He did not want to die.

But people like Meaghan left Ukrainian men like him no acceptable way out. And so he died anyway.

And now people like Meaghan sneer at his death because, apparently, the only Ukrainian man worthy of respect is a dead Ukrainian man-soldier — provided he dies the “right” way.

Heroically.
On the battlefield.

A Ukrainian man who simply wants to live, to raise his child, to come home alive?
Apparently, that is asking too much.

The Veterans’ Corps, founded by the Azov-rooted Third Assault Brigade, is opening a hub right in the heart of Poland.

The leader of the Veteran Corps is a neo-Nazi, Yan "Macgregor" Klishaiev. You can see him with a Volssangel on his T-shirt.

Apparently, people associated with a milieu accused of glorifying OUN and UPA, responsible for the murder of Polish women and children; producing a “Volhynia Pride” patch in the middle of an already toxic Polish-Ukrainian historical dispute; circulating “Greater Ukraine” patches and maps that extend into present-day Polish territory; and praising the Waffen-SS Galicia Division — associated with the pacification of Huta Pieniacka and other Polish villages — will now have another place to raise money from Poles.

You couldn’t script the irony better.

It has the unmistakable atmosphere of a historical BDSM club: Poland supplies the venue, the money and the hospitality, and apparently gets the humiliation thrown in as part of the premium package.

One does have to wonder: who approved this? Who lobbied for it? And, perhaps most interestingly, how long exactly is this charming little monument to historical masochism going to operate in the heart of Poland?

This week, the European Parliament passed a resolution on ‘hybrid warfare’. 470 MEPs voted in favour of it.

This resolution holds that the EU is under attack from ‘sophisticated cognitive-psychological methods’ which include ‘reflexive control, a technique rooted in Soviet military theory that introduces specific informational inputs to limit a target’s perceived choices and steer decisions toward the influencer’s strategic goals’. It holds that ‘there has been a drastic increase in cognitive warfare’ on the citizens of the EU, and that ‘the success of modern military operations and the effectiveness of public institutions increasingly depend on the control of cyberspace and on the strategic use of digital resources and information systems.’

It goes on to say defence spending in regard to ‘internal security’ is ‘equally required’; that the EU is in a state of ‘phase zero’ warfare; and that ‘existing EU foreign and security policy frameworks, calibrated for consensus-based deliberation, generate structural latency that adversaries actively exploit; whereas this in-between state demands a fundamental reassessment of EU decision-making architecture in the security and defence domain.’

It all sounds a bit insane, doesn’t it. Deeply paranoid. Dangerously paranoid.

The list of MEPs who voted in favour of this resolution is reproduced below. I’d encourage citizens to contact them to ask why they think citizens’ current discontent is rooted in ‘cognitive warfare’ rather than the manifest decline in most people’s living standards across the EU over the past number of years.

You could also ask to what degree they intend to ‘control’ and ‘strategically use’ the internet, and indeed what they envisage defence spending for ‘internal security’ will consist of - given internal security is in most EU states usually a matter for the police, and is financed through the budgets of interior ministries or departments of justice.

And why, you could ask, do they think that the power to decide by consensus on matters of war and peace should be taken away from EU governments, and who, then, do they think should be empowered to decide for all of them - and for all of us?

For Irish voters, you could ask your MEPs - highlighted below - why they’re voting in favour of the extensive cooperation between and integration of EU Member States and NATO envisaged in the resolution, since neutral Ireland is not a member of the NATO military alliance, and its public has no desire to be.

He stated that NATO will not be intimidated by Russian hostile actions. According to Rutte, Russia's goal is to stop aid to Ukraine, but its actions only lead to increased support.

The NATO chief emphasized the need to keep Ukraine strong for peace to prevail. He commended Great Britain for demonstrating true leadership in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group by providing military aid and sharing Storm Shadow missile technology.
