The more I dive into science communication, the more formats I find! Now you can read @pikkuscientist content in short form at https://t.co/V1EQhiOprW and in a longer version at https://t.co/afQdveZ638 The biology section on the blog could only start with the basics of life🧬🧫
Poster is hot to go! If you are at the #ASHG24 stop by, can’t wait to discuss this particular bit of science! 🧬🤓
Poster 1006 in the Epigenetics section, it has the “Reviewers’ Abstract Choice” cute ribbon on top! 🎀

In a month I am gonna defend my PhD thesis! 😱😬🤣
I decided I want to take a new perspective on it, and while it is indeed an examination, this is a thread of what I will think of it 👇

That day, in just a month, the room is gonna be full of people who are going to discover connections and complexity together. This makes the small scientist who lives inside of me so, so happy.

Walked pass a class this morning, and I am sorry to say that in 2023 lecturer still think that walls of text slides and history of individual discoveries is the way to teach histology.
It's here! @ScienceWriting has launched Connector, a resource library for articles, advice, training and more for folks in science journalism and #scicomm. Check it out at https://t.co/llyiWEb0N4 1/n
We made it to the editorial news & opinions in @NanoToday, the journal dedicated to the most influential and innovative work across the whole of nanoscience and technology! I am beyond excited! Go give a look at how they interpret and discuss our findings https://t.co/zW8hL3Zz77
@pitch_science I agree! Although the risk of over-interpreting is always there! Especially if you have an hypothesis in mind, I find useful a blind sanity check to someone who is external to the project.
@PhDVoice@PostdocVoice Submitted a paper to Nature Nanotech in April 2022. I expected desk rejection, but instead I got a long revision which helped the paper a lot (and myself!), and one year after I saw it online 🥰
@PhDVoice@PostdocVoice Help. It comes in various forms: supervision is the most specific and necessary one. But you need to help yourself (perseverance and self love), and you need the help of your loved ones ( to cheer you up, to let you vent, to celebrate!!)
