I've played about 15 hours of the amazing #TearsoftheKingdom and I've barely scratched the surface. Literally, I've not been down any of those scary chasms just yet.
Finished* this one. You'll be sneaking around dark areas/behind bushes, it was tricky getting obvious light/dark areas with so few colours. #AdvJam2023
I wrote an article about people on Reddit and Twitter making games the wrong way round. It's full of SALIENT ADVICE about not doing your fucking 48-frame walljump animation first: https://t.co/8hbNe0BpDS
The jam page for #AdvJam2023 is now live!
We want to encourage creativity and we want you to create your own adventure with us. Text, point-and-click, everything in between.
We hope to see you all participate again! May 26 to June 9 - 8pm EST https://t.co/sseScxuikp
I dabbled with @LearnAdventuron earlier this year and most likely will create something for TALP over the next couple of months. It's a delightful engine to work with.

@VillainyVS@eastwardgame@ChucklefishLTD@pixpilgames@joelcorelitz Yes, Earthbound / Mother 3 and Studio Ghibli films also a clear influence. The pixel art & animation is of a quite ridiculous quality. I'm not very far in and it still feels like a lengthy prologue, but I have high hopes for it once it gets going.
Sumatra: Fate of Yandi is currently 50% off on @GOG 🐯🌴🦧
Lost and alone after a terrible landslide, Yandi must find his way home in this old-school point and click adventure set deep in the Sumatran jungle!

It took me a long time to realize that very likely the #1 reason I loved adventure games growing up is not the puzzles or the dialogue, but the opportunity to spend time in cool places and bask in their vibe.
