They added added melody, musicality, and soul to Pink Floyd’s music that Waters’ solo albums lacked. There would have been no DSOTM without them and Waters and Pink Floyd would have disappeared into obscurity.

It was an all-day outdoor festival with eight bands and they were like #4 in the lineup with Head East and Ten Years After as the headliners. They blew everyone else away. Of course, they were young and hungry back then.

I’ve also seen Van Halen, Clapton, and Santana live. All great but Gilmour was the best.
