@burntnortcn either bc we're beyond that point now lol. i guess that's also what makes holden interesting to some -- a young person could be expected to be that naïve and have that much contradictions within themselves

@burntnortcn i think that times have changed to the point that young people now are just as, if not more, nihilistic than holden was at the time; his introspection and "deep" thoughts very well could just be baseline observations that everyone already accepts. i don't get the idolisation +
